On Saturday, the Juan Guedes Municipal Field hosted one of the most outstanding matches of the 24th round of the Third Division, with two teams called to be in the fight for promotion at the end of the season, UD Tamareceite received UD Lanzarote. A match that ended in a goalless draw but with good feelings for the conejeros who could have taken the three points.

The match against the leader of the category was not going to be an easy task, so the conejero team knew that they had to make their best effort to take something positive from Juan Guedes. From the first minutes it could be seen a match in which both teams had a lot of respect and the game was concentrated in the center of the field. After the first twenty minutes of the match, there was a slight dominance of the local team but without generating danger in the goal defended by Alejandro Martín. Maxi Barrera's team also had moments of fluid play although they did not arrive clearly to the goal of the Gran Canaria team.

The second half began with UD Tamareceite wanting to have the ball but the Lanzarote team continued to be very serious in defensive tasks, not allowing Chus Trujillo's team to generate dangerous chances. Little by little UD Lanzarote took over the match and had several good actions to get ahead on the scoreboard but was not lucky in front of goal. The experience of the players of the Gran Canaria team was noticeable on the field in the last minutes with several interruptions with which they tried to settle the game of the conejero team. Finally, a goalless draw in a very disputed match in which we can highlight the great effort of the players of UD Lanzarote who did not let the leader feel comfortable at any time, even had chances to win.

UD Lanzarote, after the draw of this day, continues in the fifth place but cuts a point to the fourth classified of the table, UD Villa de Santa Brígida, staying to three of the promotion of ascent. In the next day the conejero team receives the visit of CD Tenerife B.
