The fourth edition of the Rallye Villa de Teguise, valid for the Lanzarote Island Rally Championship and the Skoda Fabia Cup, is already underway, with two timed sections being held on Friday night. The nearly 40 participating teams, after performing the departure ceremony and the technical and administrative checks, faced two passes to the "Teseguite-Guatiza-El Mojón" section of 10.10 kilometers. Toñín Suárez and Jorge Cedrés, at the controls of the Porsche 997 GT3, have placed themselves at the front of the classification of the IV Rallye Villa de Teguise.
Already with the night over the sky of Teguise, the first pass to the section "Teseguite-Guatiza- El Mojón" was disputed. Aníbal Machín and Óliver González, at the controls of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII, marked the best time and with 5.3 seconds of advantage over Toñín Suárez ? Jorge Cedrés. The current leaders of the Lanzarote Island Rally Championship had a problem in their car in the link section and were forced to abandon.
Toñín Suárez ? Jorge Cedrés marked the best time in the second timed section of the night and placed themselves at the front of the general classification of the IV Rallye Villa de Teguise. The current leaders have an advantage of 16.6 seconds over Suso Lemes ? Ayoze Barrera (Seat Ibiza) and 17.7 seconds over Adrián Betancort ? Jorge Umpiérrez (Renault Megane Coupe). Javier Sosa ? Kilian Camacho are the current leaders of the Skoda Fabia Cup.
Up to seven teams were forced to withdraw on Saturday night due to problems with their vehicles. This was the case of Luis Duque ? Alejandro Pérez, Ricardo Betancort ? José A. Hernández, Oliver de León ? Diego Cabrera, Aníbal Machín ? Oliver González, Álvaro Caballero ? Noé González, Alejandro Betancort ? Fabiola Acosta and Martín Robayna ? Sebastián García. All of them have the possibility of rejoining the rally on Saturday, but seeing their options to fight for the first places in the classification diminished.

The IV Rallye Villa de Teguise continues on Saturday with six new timed sections and completes a route of 70 kilometers. Participants will have to make three passes to the section "Los Valles ? Guatiza" (6 km) and "Los Valles ? Haría" (10.5 km)
