The twentieth edition of the Lanzarote Island Gymnastics Festival "Lolina Curbelo" is already underway. On Saturday morning, the Inaugural Parade was held, which ran through the center of Arrecife. The different groups participating in this festival of gymnastics, dance, and artistic gymnastics paraded through the Charco de San Ginés and performed an exhibition in the José Ramírez Cerdá Park.
Unlike previous years, the route of the Inaugural Parade and the areas where the exhibitions were held were changed. This time the parade started in the Charco de San Ginés, going along the entire bay, passing through Calle Real and ending in the José Ramírez Cerdá Park. It was in this place where the different groups performed their exhibitions.
The Inaugural Parade of the Lanzarote Island Gymnastics Festival "Lolina Curbelo" was followed by numerous people, who accompanied the young members of the different gymnastics schools of Lanzarote. In this edition, the festival's main theme is the "Olympics", referring to the Olympic Games that will be held in August in London.
The Lanzarote Island Gymnastics Festival will continue next Thursday with the celebration of the "Inaugural Session" starting at 8:00 p.m. Friday will be the turn of the "Little Dance and Dance Festival" at 7:00 p.m., to give way on Saturday to the Artistic and Rhythmic Gymnastics Festival starting at 10:30 a.m. and the Youth Festival at 7:00 p.m. All exhibitions will be held at the Argana Sports Palace.
