One more year coinciding with carnival dates, the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife is immersed in the organization of a new edition of the César Manrique Trophy of the Optimist class, which begins next Saturday the 25th to end on Sunday the 26th of February.
Throughout the two days the celebration of 6 rounds is planned, of which at least one must be held to validate the César Manrique Trophy.
So far 131 sailors have registered with the participation of 8 countries; 121 with Spanish license and three Norwegians, two Italians, Croatia, Estonia, Netherlands, Turkey and the United States of America contribute one each. Nine are the participating clubs, from Tenerife the Real Club Náutico and Club de Mar Radazul; Gran Canaria the Real Club Náutico and Club Marítimo Varadero, the participation is completed by athletes from the Real Club Náutico de San Sebastián and Atlantis Academy, to which we must add those of the organizer Real Club Náutico de Arrecife.
Plata & Reguera Advanced Dentistry, trusts one more year in the organization participating as a sponsor. CaixaBank repeats, joining the Trophy last year. The celebration is also made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, European Sport Destination, Department of Sports of the Arrecife City Council, Naviera Armas – Trasmediterránea, Calero Marinas, Canary Islands Car (CICAR), Arrecife Gran Hotel & Spa, Renault Lanzarote – Juan Toledo, S.L., Kalise, Tirma, RFEV, RFCV and AECIO.
After Friday's session in which the registration of participants and equipment control will be carried out, the regattas will be held on Saturday and Sunday with three scheduled each day and with a start time of 11:00 am.
The Real Club Náutico de Arrecife will award winner's trophies to the top finishers in absolute male, absolute female, sub 11, sub 13 and sub 16 in boys and girls.
