Great weekend of competition for the children of Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero, completing an excellent Canarian Children's Men's Championship and winning the title of champions on Sunday at noon. After certifying the classification for the sector phase of the Spanish Championship on Saturday, the children of Ca´Mario Lanzarote played a great match in the final against Balonmano Tacoronte 13 de Mayo.
The final, played in the Polideportivo de Moya, began in the best way for the interests of Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero, giving their rival a partial score of 3-0 with goals from Evan Galán (2) and Mencey Pérez. A
advantage that the Lanzarote team maintained for a good part of the first half, although Tacoronte managed to tie the game with three minutes remaining until halftime (10-10).
In the second half, Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero started it with a partial score of 5-1, obtaining a five-goal advantage (12-17), and which they knew how to manage throughout the entire period. Only in the final minutes, Tacoronte 13 de Mayo managed to reduce the difference to two goals, having to request a time-out from Acoidán Martín to stop the reaction of the Tenerife team. With the final result of 25 to 21, the match came to an end.
The children of Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero celebrated the conquest of the title of champions of the Canary Islands on the court, reaping the reward for the great work that has been done throughout the season and achieving qualification for the sector phase of the Spanish Children's Championship.
A team that has been led from the bench by Acoidán Martín, counting throughout the season with the help of David Betancort, Nabila de Ganzo, Manolo Parras, Esther de Miguel and Sergio González. The celebration moved on Sunday night to Terminal 2 of the César Manrique-Lanzarote Airport, where the children of Ca´Mario Lanzarote San José Obrero were received. A more than deserved recognition to a group of players who are leaving the club's name at the top, and who from this week will begin to prepare for their participation in the sector phase of the Spanish Children's Men's Championship, a phase that will take place from May 17 to 19.
