The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz, and the councilor for Tourism and Sports, Mame Fernández, presented the race today together with the founder of Ocean Lava, Kenneth Gasque -freshly arrived from being awarded in Hawaii-, and the technical director of the competition, Cristian Caleri.

The tourist town of Puerto del Carmen will once again be the epicenter of the tenth edition of the Ocean Lava Win4Youth Lanzarote Triathlon Festival on October 26. A triathlon event that will host 664 triathletes of different nationalities and that is consolidated in the sports calendar of the island of Lanzarote.

The event will have three modalities: Olympic distance, half distance and Super Sprint. One of the great novelties is the "Super Sprint" modality that will have a course of 400 meters of swimming, 10 kilometers of cycling and 2.5 kilometers of running, a test that fits perfectly with all those triathletes who are starting in this sports modality.

The City Council of Tías, co-organizer of the event, announced that it will continue to bet on major sporting events such as the Ocean Lava Win4Youth Lanzarote Triathlon Festival. The work and collaboration of the volunteers, Civil Protection and security forces was especially appreciated at the event.
