Playa Honda will have an open water swimming circuit "before the end of the year", according to the mayor of San Bartolomé, Alexis Tejera. The circuit will be installed in the vicinity of the "Loro Verde" and will be formed by three buoys that will mark a triangle with a route of about 750 meters in length.
"With this, we will see another of our sports proposals aimed at promoting all outdoor sports come true, responding to athletes and citizens," said the mayor.
The Councilor for Sports, Isidro Pérez, explains that the choice of space was made "taking into account that this area is already known by open water swimmers, since the Emmax Playa Honda Swimming Crossing was initially held in this same enclave".
From the Consistory they emphasize that this open water swimming circuit will "complement the offer offered by this City Council along the coast of the coastal town of Playa Honda, which includes beach soccer, beach tennis, beach volleyball, ultimate and beach handball".
