María Dolores Corujo, accompanied by Alfredo Mendoza, had the opportunity last Tuesday to entertain the young members of the Lanzarote handball clubs who, in recent weeks, have achieved excellent performances in the Canary Islands championships in which they have participated.

“We are fortunate to have talented girls and boys who play handball in Lanzarote, with which we can celebrate together the competitive advances they make each season”, commented the president after the meeting. Corujo congratulated the teams for their outstanding role in the regional championships, and some of them for their experience in the national championships they were able to access this season.

Alfredo Mendoza extended his congratulations to the clubs and directors of San José Obrero, Puerto del Carmen and Zonzamas, but also to the families of the young people, “for supporting and helping to promote sport as a healthy lifestyle habit in Lanzarote and La Graciosa”.

The Cabildo of Lanzarote has organized this extensive reception in the assembly hall of the Institution. There were the cadets of the men's team of CB San José Obrero, Runners-up of the Canary Islands; as were the cadet players of Puerto del Carmen, who this season finished Champions of the Canary Islands and obtained their pass to the sector phase of the state championship, collects the Cabildo.

In the youth category, the members of the Puerto del Carmen women's team attended, who also achieved a passport to be among the best in Spain in the category; and the youth players of Club Balonmano Zonzamas, Runners-up of the Canary Islands.

María Dolores Corujo and Alfredo Mendoza wished them all new successes, committing themselves to continue with the line of support shown to sport during the current mandate, concludes the match.
