The XXVIII San Juan - Real Club Náutico de Arrecife Swimming Crossing had 250 participants. It ended with victories in the general classification for Gustavo Lorenco in the men's category and Demby Kennedy in the women's category, both from Club Nadamas.
Lorenco achieved the absolute victory with a time of 00:25:32 followed by Juan José de Armas at 9´´ and Carlos Vizcaíno at 11´´ from the winner. The women's podium, headed by Demby Kennedy, was completed by Nadia Martín at 1´04´´ from the winner and Lucía Vázquez was third.
The race was valid for the Canary Islands Cup in which Juan José de Armas Delgado (Nadamas) and Demby Kennedy scored victories.
The day was held without incidents and in good conditions for the crossing, at the end of it, the Real Club Náutico de Arrecife offered participants a lunch to later celebrate the awards ceremony. There were trophies for the top three finishers overall and medals for the top three in each category. In addition, each participant received a shirt as a souvenir of their participation.
The awards ceremony was presided over by Julio Romero Ortega, president of the RCNA, accompanied by the Councilor for Sports of the Arrecife City Council, Rosmen Quevedo Cabrera; Roy González representing the Department of Sports of the Cabildo and the councilors of Arrecife Roberto Herbón and Ángela Hernández.
