The attractive route through the center of the island's capital has been one of the keys to the success of the Disco Night Urban Race Ciudad de Arrecife. The race on May 5th will once again run through emblematic places such as El Reducto beach or the Charco de San Ginés, all surrounded by a festive and fun atmosphere around sports.
One of the main novelties of the 6th edition of the Disco Night Urban Race Ciudad de Arrecife will be the new location of the nerve center of the event. The José Ramírez Cerdá Park will host the start and finish area of the race, as well as all the tents that the organization will have to provide a good service to the participants of the event.
The starting area will be located next to the recently inaugurated Arrecife House of Culture. The start of the main event is scheduled for 9 p.m. After the starting gun, the runners will head towards the El Reducto area, with the turning point located at the Guaguas Interchange roundabout. The athletes will run along the entire maritime avenue of Arrecife, passing next to El Reducto beach, one of the hallmarks of the capital.
Returning to the José Ramírez Cerdá Park, the runners will pass next to the Puente de Las Bolas before entering the Charco de San Ginés. The Charco area is where the largest number of fans are concentrated, passing through the city's leisure venues and taking all the participants the encouragement of the people who gather there.
The finish line will be located inside the José Ramírez Cerdá Park, where participants will be received in a great festive atmosphere. The runners in the 10-kilometer category must complete two laps of the urban circuit and one lap for the athletes in the 5-kilometer category of the Disco Night Urban Race Ciudad de Arrecife.
Registration remains open and can be done through the official website of the event (www.disconighturbanrace.com). The process will be available until May 1st or until the 1,200 places available for the 5 and 10 kilometer races are sold out.
The Disco Night Urban Race "Ciudad de Arrecife" is organized by José Carlos Hernández together with the Department of Sports of the Arrecife City Council and has the collaboration of the Island Council of Lanzarote and Lanzarote European Sports Destination.
