CB Lanzarote Puerto del Carmen has achieved victory in their visit to the Municipal Pavilion La Redondela against SAR Rodavigo (28-33) in a match corresponding to the twenty-third league match of group A of the Women's Silver Honor Division.

The match could not have started better for the Tiñoseras, jumping onto the court of La Bombonera with success and tension, demonstrating why they are the team that leads the classification (2-6, min. 10).
The locals began to pick up steam after fifteen minutes of the match, closing the gap on the scoreboard, but Juanmi Pérez's pupils were going to defend a five-goal lead at halftime tooth and nail (11-16).

In the second half, the match became a trade of goals, which benefited the visitors. In the end, Puerto del Carmen controlled the match and secured a new victory to continue as leaders of the group alone.

The Tiñosero team continues to lead the standings with three matchdays remaining, with 39 points to their name. Carballal, second in the standings with 37 points, did not fail in their match against Anabel Lee Camargo 74 (31-20). The team that faltered this weekend and may have definitively said goodbye to the places of honor was the third-placed team, Balonmano Gijón, who remain with 34 points after falling (32-27), with a bit of surprise, at the home of Inelsa Solar Asmubal Meaño, a team that is in eleventh position and that until today had only won five matches.

Fernanda Luján Insfrán and Delyne Leiva became the top scorers of the match with eight goals each. In the Galician ranks, Lucía Pérez added seven goals to the SAR Rodavigo's tally. With the goals from this match, Insfrán rises to sixth position in the table of top scorers of the season in the group with 144 goals, although she still maintains by far the best scoring average in the group with 9 goals per match.

There are three matchdays left until the end of the league. Next Saturday, March 23, the Tiñosero team will host Siero Deportivo Balonmano, the bottom team, at the Tías Municipal Sports Hall, who did not play this weekend due to the absence of Balonmano Santa Cruz de Tenerife in Pola de Siero. In the penultimate matchday, to be played on April 13, Puerto del Carmen visits the court of Grupo CHR Hand Vall Valladolid, currently fifth in the standings, and will finish the regular league hosting the second-placed team, Solimusic Events Carballal, at the Tiense Municipal Sports Hall.
