Well, yes. I thought I wouldn't, but here I am, back into handball full throttle.

For now I'm still "unemployed". I have a couple of months left, but in September, I will take over, effectively, and in this case professionally, the direction of the Handball School "San José Obrero". The best handball school in the Canary Islands, for sure.

I will return to the courts, covered or uncovered, to deal with children and young people, and with their mothers and fathers, and with their teachers. We are recruiting an army of monitors, all of them very excited. We have already had a couple of meetings and I feel super comfortable with them.

The Balonmano Mahay San José Obrero Club, chaired by Juan Carlos Toledo, has proposed to bring handball to every corner of Arrecife, to every neighborhood, to every school. Like it used to be. And, you know what I'm telling you? We're going to do it!

Time will tell. For now, this course that begins in September, we will establish six nuclei. The base in Titerroy, our neighborhood, with three nuclei: the Central, in the Municipal Pavilion, the nucleus of the Titerroy school, which was the best in the course that has just ended, and we recovered the one that was the hallmark of "San José"; the Benito Méndez school.

In addition, we will maintain the Argana Alta nucleus, but we will go to train at the School and the CEO, in addition to some day at the Municipal Sports Palace. And we will create two other new nuclei; recovering, after many years, the Los Geranios nucleus, for all the children of Altavista and Tinasoria. And, finally, at least this next course, we will create a new nucleus, in the Center of Arrecife. We will talk to the Antonio Zerolo school, to see if we can do it there, for the children of that school and the La Destila school.

Objective; to offer a healthy and educational activity, such as sports and in this case handball, to all the children of Arrecife, as a way to occupy their leisure and free time. And, if along the way, they learn to play handball, and they do it well, and we are champions, and we go to Las Palmas, and then to the Peninsula, as happened this year with the children's and cadet teams; well, better than better.

Again, I will be on the courts, with the brothers, sons, grandsons, nephews, of anyone who wants a healthy and complementary occupation for the integral education of children.

When I retire, in a few years, I will see men, women and young people with faces, gestures or gaits that will be familiar to me. I will walk down the street again and notice that someone is looking at me and I don't know for sure why. And I will think that, surely, it is because, on some occasion, I trained him in handball, but he is already a little woman or a little man who has changed so much that I do not recognize him.

I am again taking care that, as possible as it may be, the young people of Arrecife live in an environment of healthy, educational leisure, which helps them to develop, and that they enjoy occupying their free time playing handball, on the courts during the school year, and on the beaches during the summer. And that they form gangs of healthy girls and boys who organize camps, parties, trips and lots of things that I, because of my age, am quite lost, without the need to drink alcohol, without the need to smoke a joint, or other pawn things. I return to the battle against tobacco consumption, with all the legal and ethical means at my disposal.

It's already costing me some money but, you know what? I'm having a great time. I feel happy.

Politics parked me and I've returned to where I was, before José Domingo Machín took me before Don Nicolás de Páiz so that he could meet me and take me with him on the CDS list to the Cabildo.

I've also had a great time in politics, although sometimes not so much. It is true that I have had disappointments and that I have gone through very bad times. But that's already passed.

Now I'm back in handball, dedicated to the fullest. As I always do when I get into something. And, as before, when I walked with the bag of balls and the backpack on my shoulder, I feel happy.
