A total of 30 young people have received diplomas certifying their theoretical and practical knowledge acquired through the Youth and Sports workshop school.
The young people have specialized in different leisure areas. First, there are the sports activities technicians who have learned to give courses in different sports for all ages. The second group is that of driving in the natural environment on outdoor free time. Finally, there are the young people who opted for the tourist animation sector.
The course began in October 2003. During the first year, the first two phases were offered, one of which was exclusively theoretical while the following began with practical application. During the last year, the students continued to acquire knowledge, while in the fourth phase they have done internships in companies.

The closing ceremony began with thanks to students and monitors by the director of the workshop school, Ana Olga Machín.
After an exhibition with photographs taken throughout the course, the authorities took the floor. First, the Councilor of Finance of the Arrecife City Council, Manuel Pérez Gopar, who pointed out that the objectives of the Consortium are "technical, labor and personal training as well as labor insertion".
In this sense, the Finance Councilor took the opportunity to announce that they will sign new agreements with the Canarian Employment Service where they will request the implementation of new projects in which they will need workers like those who have just been trained in this course.
For his part, Luis Morales, who attended the event as acting mayor, pointed out that it is important to continue with this type of initiatives that promote new jobs "in fields such as leisure that are growing." Finally, the Deputy Mayor Nuria Cabrera joined at the time of the diploma awarding. After the event, everyone was able to enjoy a refreshment.
