The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, was this Tuesday on the program Buenos días, Lanzarote of Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero to answer some questions regarding the actions that are being carried out in the municipality and, also, about the dismissal of Jacobo Medina as vice president.
Regarding the PP's decision to dismiss Jacobo Medina as vice president of the Cabildo of Lanzarote, de León says that "I disagree with the forms, I think they were not the correct ones, there are ways and ways of saying things, I think that sitting at a table discussing and commenting on what we think is appropriate, decisions can be made."
"I think Medina has done a great job in the Cabildo and will continue to do so because in the end he is a man of the party, we are men of the Popular Party, we both are part of the Steering Committee also as organic members, so well, give all the encouragement to the colleague Jacobo and I am convinced that he will continue working from the Department of Public Works to carry out the important projects," continued the mayor.
As will be recalled, the Minister of Public Works, Jacobo Medina, also stated to the program Buenos días, Lanzarote that before his dismissal as vice president, "he is surprised because the forms were not the correct ones and when I do not lie when I speak in the media because what I feel, I say."
In addition, in reference to the words of Ángel Vázquez, spokesman for the PP in Lanzarote, he pointed out that "we must add people, not invite them to leave because no one is indispensable."
