The Tías City Council has reported the start of improvement works on accessibility and signage on the west sidewalk of Roque Nublo street in Puerto del Carmen and its surroundings. This project has an execution period of one and a half months and has a contract budget of 84,190.90 euros, including IGIC.
According to the project, the works consist of changing the pavement of a section of the west side of Roque Nublo street, carrying out the channeling of public lighting under this new pavement and carrying out the definitive signage of both the section of said street affected as in a section of Los Afrechos street.
The City Council states that "what is intended is to eliminate the existing danger on a very slippery pavement with a steep slope (15.80%), adapting it as much as possible to the basic conditions of pedestrian accessibility." It is considered that the design, materials and construction procedure "comply" with the current Universal Accessibility Law.
The Tías City Council apologizes for any inconvenience these improvement works may cause to the residents of the area, as well as to merchants, businessmen and visitors.
