The average rate for hotel establishments during the month of April amounted to 152.64 euros and was lower than that charged in February (155 euros) and March (160.5 euros), but it was also 5% higher than that charged in April of last year when the average was 145.3 euros.

The island's hotels also accommodated nearly 12,000 more people last month. This year there were 181,338 compared to 169,869 last year in the month of April.

Thus, overnight stays exceeded one million nights last month with nearly 40,000 more overnight stays than during the same month of 2025.

This was also reflected in employment, as last month there were almost 2,000 more people working in hotels than last year. In total, hotel staff numbered 11,184 workers this April.

Precisely because there were almost 2,000 more tourist places available than last year. There were a total of 43,869 places in the island's hotels last month.
