The journalist and Secretary of Communication of Ciudadanos (Cs) Canarias, Vidino Espino, will be the party's candidate for the Presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands.

This has been decided by the members who have supported Espino with 84% of votes in favor, in a process that has had 40% participation.
In this regard, Espino has thanked all the members for their support and pointed out that "now, as always, it is time to continue working together as a team to change the Canary Islands."

"Next May 26 we are going to change this land", because "the Canary Islands cannot remain in the hands of those who conform and do not have the capacity, nor the desire, to launch new ideas to make the islands advance and thus stop being stuck in employment, health, education, or dependency."

"I believe in a modern Canary Islands, a 21st century Canary Islands, that can do everything", said Espino, who assured "Ciudadanos will work to reverse this situation, together, as a single land, without anything or anyone confronting or dividing us."

"Nothing, nor anyone, will prevent us from growing, improving and achieving greater social well-being."

"The Canary Islands needs change to get out of the bottom positions and that will not be achieved either with the nationalists, or with the two-party system (PP and PSOE), which is jointly responsible for the situation in which the Canary Islands finds itself at this time", indicated the Cs candidate for the Presidency of the Government.

In this sense, he added that "Ciudadanos will go out to win the next elections in the Canary Islands", because "Canarians deserve a party that puts useful and citizen-centered policies before those who have shown that their only interest is to keep the armchairs."
