Tías installs five webcams on the beaches of Puerto del Carmen. At the end of January, the town hall awarded the contract for the supply, installation and maintenance of the cameras to be installed on the beaches of Matagorda, Pocillos, Playa Chica and Playa Grande (two units), which will broadcast live images 24 hours a day.
"This installation is part of the tourist promotion of our destination, with which you can see in real time the landscape and climate of the beach, as well as publicize firsthand the wonders offered by Puerto del Carmen," says the mayor, José Juan Cruz Saavedra.
The contract has been carried out through the contracting center of the 'Association of Tourist Municipalities of the Canary Islands' (Amtc), in which the City of Tías is integrated, and which has a framework agreement for the supply of webcams to be installed in the associated municipalities.
The award has been carried out for an amount of "22,470 euros" with a duration of "three years". Thanks to these webcams, both residents and visitors can see live the weather conditions of the area and check the influx on the beaches.
