Tías City Council has carried out, during the last weeks, cleaning work on the roadsides and conditioning of roads, which had a large amount of garbage and debris.
Workers from the Roads and Works area and workers from the project “Tías, a firm commitment to employment”, subsidized by the Government of the Canary Islands through the Extraordinary Social Employment Program for the period 2021/2022, have removed in recent days “9,200 kilos of debris from different areas of the municipality.”
The government group asks the population to use “the clean points and corresponding containers to correctly dispose of waste and debris, avoid their environmental impact and contribute to the sustainable legacy for future generations.”

From the City Council they add that they have also worked on the removal of all types of garbage on the access roads to Matagorda, in the rainwater channel, in the Rambla Islas Canarias, in the Los Pocillos area, the streets Noruega, calles Lapa, Caracol, Erizo, the Hospiten area and the roundabout of the old municipal nursery, in Puerto del Carmen.
Finally, they point out that they have intervened in other points of the municipality such as Lugar de Abajo, Calle San Blas, Los Topes, Calle La Luchada, Hoyo del Agua, Camino los Llanitos, Camino de la Calderina, Camino el Volcán and Camino de Los Olivos.
