The Tourist Centers have ensured a minimum investment of 5,000 euros in the purchase of wine from wineries that commit to paying a price of 3 euros per kilo of grapes to the producer. The measure hopes to reach the 17 wineries attached to the Regulatory Council, provided they meet that condition.

"It is our way of contributing to boosting our primary sector and giving visibility to the work, effort and commitment of those who care for and protect a fundamental landscape of this island,” explained the CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo.

In this line, he insisted that “it is, without a doubt, the best way to promote the consumption of top-quality local products and to join efforts to maintain a traditional industry so rooted in the culture and history of this island.” The councilor, finally, assured that this action “guarantees the consumption of Lanzarote wines in our most important international showcase, the Tourist Centers.”

On the other hand, Benjamín Perdomo celebrated the agreement that producers and winemakers have already reached so that the grape has reached the historic price of 3 euros per kilo. “It is a demonstration of maturity, responsibility and consensus. It is an island success that guarantees a decent income for workers.”
