The Tías City Council activates Wifi zones in open public spaces

The Tías City Council has announced that the residents and visitors of the municipality now have different Wi-Fi zones in open public spaces, such as El Pavón squares, which connects this week, and Leandro Fajardo, in Tías. In addition, it also has internet connection El Varadero square and the vicinity of the Tourist Office of the Avenida de las Playas of Puerto del Carmen.

The Council has implemented this service, totally free, in different points of the municipality, including the interiors of some municipal facilities, with the objective of "expanding the free access of the citizens to the connectivity".

The Councilor for New Technologies, Kalinda Pérez, points out that the connection works began "in the main building of the consistorial house and have continued through different areas", both in open spaces and in municipal buildings, which "will soon be activated and will be added to those that are already working".

Kalinda Pérez adds that signage has been installed with the colors of the LGTBI movement in the public spaces equipped with this service. “We are giving free access to the internet in points of interest and in areas of high traffic in a commitment to improve the connectivity of the municipality and at the same time we reiterate our commitment to the LGTBI community,” he indicates.
