The president of the Cabildo, Oswaldo Betancort, has dismissed the manager of the Water Consortium, Domingo Pérez. "The decision responds to the need for a new organizational structure in the Island Consortium", according to the Institution.
Pérez is currently enjoying a vacation period, so he will leave the position upon his return, according to La Voz. For now, it is unknown who will replace him.
Domingo Pérez was appointed by Pedro San Ginés in January 2013, and was selected from a list of candidates proposed by the Board of Directors. He is an industrial technical engineer and had already worked for the Cabildo of Lanzarote in various projects, especially those of energy and renewable engineering.
