The PP accuses the government group of Tías of endangering the economy of the City Council by endorsing Inalsa despite the Intervention report

The Popular Party of Tías has denounced the intention of the municipal government team to approve, in the Plenary session held this Thursday, the guarantees to Inalsa "despite having the report against the Intervention of the City Council". These guarantees would serve to face Inalsa's debt with UNELCO, worth 1.5 million euros, and the operation to comply with the Royal Decree on electricity supplies to large consumers, estimated at 2.6 million.

In the clarification of the report made by the auditor, requested by the PP, it is concluded, according to the popular, that "since the necessary data for a study of what is to be guaranteed and the viability of its achievement are missing due to the lack of knowledge of the accounts of the Consortium and the company that requests it, this Intervention, unfavorably informs the Mayor's proposal".

In his considerations, the auditor warns that "the granting of a guarantee must comply with the same guarantees as a medium and long-term debt operation", and recalls that the City Council of Tías is currently subject to a financial economic plan to which it had to resort due to non-compliance with the Budgetary Stability Law.

The popular of Tías consider that the City Council "cannot give free rein to the guarantees when the report of the General Intervention is contrary to the operation", and ask the Municipal Government not to put at risk "the economic situation of the City Council for a simple political whim".

And they consider that "the forcefulness and clarity of the report is unquestionable" when it points out that "there is no technical documentation in the file to know the viability of the guarantee, since the state of accounts of the Island Consortium and the company that requests it is unknown" and that "there is no mandatory report of prior audit to the adoption of the agreement, by the Intervention of the Consortium".
