The lawyer and candidate for Mayor of Yaiza for the Popular Party, Salvador Martínez, has presented the members of his government team for the next municipal elections on May 24.
"Each and every one of us who make up the candidacy are very proud of the municipality where we live and we know the enormous potential that Yaiza has because it has all the necessary ingredients to be one of the most prosperous municipalities on the entire island," explains Salvador Martínez.
"We have enviable and unique towns and natural spaces in the world, which have allowed us to be the focus of attention abroad and have a first-class tourism sector for which it is necessary to continue betting and give it a new boost," adds Martínez.
"Our commitment," adds the popular candidate, "is to work honestly to solve the real problems of the residents of Yaiza."
"For decades our heritage has become the basis of the development and growth of the municipality, but this situation has not translated into greater well-being for the residents of the different towns in the municipality."
"Now is the time for that economic wealth to revert and really reach citizens in the form of better services and new infrastructure," emphasizes Salvador Martínez.
The work team that accompanies the popular candidate is made up of "honest people, normal people, fathers and mothers, workers, young entrepreneurs, in short, new faces but who know perfectly the reality of the southern municipality and who have the firm conviction that they can improve it.They are also people of different nationalities, who have been living in the municipality for half their lives, and who know and are part of the social reality of Yaiza."
Members of the candidacy
Jorge Rodríguez Ojeda, businessman in the hospitality sector for more than 20 years. Another of his passions is aviation (he is a private pilot), sports and music. He is a member of the Yaiza municipal band and a member of different local groups.
James Martin Sonny Lee Gwynne. He was born in London and has a law degree from the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He has been residing on the island for 27 years and currently works as a lawyer.
Sonia Rivera Condés. This young woman of 24 years old is married and will soon be the mother of her first child. She is a Senior Technician in Administration and Finance and among her passions is also music as she has a higher degree in Piano and Musical Language from the Royal Mussic School.
Cristina Idana Crezantina Fieraru, was born in Romania and has been residing in the municipality for more than 15 years. She has worked for many years in the hospitality industry.
The Popular Party's candidacy for the Yaiza consistory is completed with María Isabel Cuadrado Loro, Raquel Castro Ossa, María Ángeles Valls Gumiel, Juan Rivera Barbero, Yue Rong Su (Ron) and Aldo Matutes Paulovih.
