The kitchen of the Casa Museo del Campesino has been awarded in the “Canarias sabe a tradición” category of the X edition of the 'Qué bueno Canarias Mahou' awards.

The CEO of the Tourist Centers, Benjamín Perdomo, congratulated "all the winners”. "This distinction to the Casa Museo del Campesino is the recognition of the effort and work of a great human team and a gastronomic proposal that values local products and bets on recipes, aromas and flavors of the traditional cuisine of Lanzarote”, he pointed out.

"This award is an incentive to our work to continue improving our proposal and turn it into a benchmark of the gastronomic heritage of the Island”, he added.

From the Centers they have indicated that the prestigious publication specialized in gastronomy has explained that this award recognizes “the value of the public kitchens of the archipelago, which make life more pleasant for the islanders and encourage the interest of tourists”.

Other restaurants awarded in this category have been the Tenerife restaurants Bodegón Casa Tomás, in Tegueste, and Casa Pedro El Crusantero, in Santa Úrsula. In Gran Canaria, El Padrino, in Las Coloradas, and Perico Junior, in Telde, have been awarded; and finally, the restaurant El Horno, in Villaverde, Fuerteventura, and the Asador El Campesino, in Barlovento, La Palma, have also received the distinction.
