Casa Ajei is a farmhouse in San Bartolomé recognized as an Asset of Cultural Interest and the Department of Heritage had the mission to "promote the recovery of the building and end the state of neglect in which it had been until now", according to a press release.

To this end, the City Council has had the advice of a multidisciplinary team, formed by the team of the Island Heritage Office of the Cabildo and the technical unit of the Ministry of Education, to ensure that the recovery of each of the rooms respected the original characteristics of this historic space.

In this way, the general public will be able to enjoy a room in which images and documentation showing the historical trajectory of Casa Ajei will be exhibited.

Likewise, with this intervention, El Quintero school can have new facilities for the educational center, as the City Council has given its old offices for the use of the school.
