Laureano Álvarez (Contigo Teguise + Unido) has revealed that the Electoral Board has suspended an event that Oswaldo Betancort had with winegrowers this Monday, April 24, for violating the electoral law.
"Oswaldo Bentancort and Olivia Duque are among those living beings who do not learn from mistakes, no matter what stone they stumble upon," says Álvarez. For the spokesperson of the municipalist formation CC, he "continues to use the Teguise City Council as if it were his own farmstead and using municipal assets in a fraudulent manner, as can be seen in the attempt to use the Teguise Agro-industrial Complex as if it were the campaign headquarters of his party and his candidacy." "Or take as an example the hiring of the number 2 on the CC list as an advisor three months before the elections. They are quite an example of civility and respect," he adds.
Laureano assures that "these brutal abuses go so far that our humble formation, Contigo Teguise + Unido, has been forced to go to the Electoral Board to denounce this systematic procedure by Coalición Canaria, a traditionally fraudulent and bossy party."
"And the Agro-industrial Complex is not available for the electoral campaign and its use is manifestly biased since only Coalición Canaria can use it in the elections," says Álvarez.
According to the formation, "in the latest invitation to winegrowers, CC was again summoning them to the Complex, in his capacity as mayor, to explain the projects of the future as a candidate for the Cabildo." "The complaint by our formation, which cannot take it anymore, was not long in coming and neither was the cancellation of the event, this time by order of the Electoral Board," he concludes.
