The citizens of Teguise will be able to consult and carry out their procedures with the City Council from home, thanks to the implementation of electronic administration.
The mayor of the municipality, Juan Pedro Hernández, and the Councilor for New Technologies, Luciano Pérez, presented this Wednesday morning the website in which electronic administration is specified, which will begin to be operational from next Monday, March 28.
The Council of La Villa joins the new technologies and thus complies with the law, which requires that citizens be given the possibility to interact with institutions through electronic means. "We are thus getting closer to the citizens, through a more modern and useful administration," said the mayor of the municipality, Juan Pedro Hernández.
For the moment, around 30 procedures can be carried out, although, as Hernández has specified, this "is only the beginning." Among the procedures that can be carried out, those related to Urban Planning and Housing and municipal taxes stand out, such as building permits, territorial qualification or application for large family bonus, among many others. There are also, although to a lesser extent, procedures related to other areas, which "will be expanded", according to the Councilor for New Technologies, Luciano Pérez.
Likewise, on the website you can find a section of rules and ordinances, where you can download the documents, a notice board, as well as a street map with information about the cadastre and the planning of the municipality, among others.
Access
The inhabitants of Teguise will be able to access the electronic administration through the City Council's website, [www.teguise.es.->http://www.teguise.es/] For this they will need the electronic DNI, with a digital certificate, or a username and password that they must request from the Council, although, in the latter case, they will only be able to access in consultation mode, but not carry out procedures.
And, another thing that electronic administration allows is to check the status of the procedures that have been carried out. A fact that, in Luciano Pérez's opinion, will speed up the processing, since citizens will have "a better follow-up of the procedures and therefore will be able to demand more from the City Council to speed them up."
