The Cabildo of Lanzarote has completed the work of remodeling and redesigning the facilities of the Playa Blanca Football Field, included in the Municipal Cooperation Plan.
The president of the Cabildo, María Dolores Corujo, was in charge of signing the handover of the work to the Yaiza City Council, highlighting "the importance of the Municipal Cooperation Plan as an instrument of social and economic development, generating employment and improving facilities for public use."
The event, held at the Casa Benito Pérez Armas in the southern municipality of the island, was attended by the mayor, Óscar Noda, as well as the island councilor for Sports and Public Works, Alfredo Mendoza.

The councilor highlights that these works have had a budget of 1,239,956 euros, carried out by the island company Lanzagrava SL, allowing the creation in the space of the sports facility of "a football field 11 and two others of football 7, in addition to the installation of artificial turf of the latest generation, with irrigation system and perimeter fencing."
In its surroundings, spaces have also been arranged to allow a total of 52 parking spaces, with reserved spaces for people with reduced mobility.
For his part, Óscar Noda thanked "the involvement of the Island Council in carrying out the improvement works of these infrastructures, which allows making available to the residents of the municipality a modern facility with the necessary amenities for practicing sports."
