The Arrecife City Council has awarded the contract for lighting, assembly, sound and auxiliary work necessary for the development of the ordinary and extraordinary activities organized by the City Council to the company Tecnosound Canarias, for an amount of 634,280 euros plus IGIC, which makes a total of more than 678,000 euros.
The tender was announced for the second time at the beginning of last June, after the first call was canceled due to "errors in the specifications", and Tecnosound has been the only company that has submitted an offer.
The award decree was signed by the mayor on August 1, although the City Council had not yet reported the resolution of this tender.
Prices per event
The decree establishes that the successful bidder "will be obliged to perform the service" for "a period of two years" and that they must "respect the unit prices offered" for each of the events that take place during the year in the capital.
For example, in the case of the San Ginés festivities, a price of 25,000 euros is established for five days of festival (such as galas, concerts or festivals) at the Fairgrounds, plus another 5,000 euros for the Queen's election gala. To this would have to be added other "supplements", such as 15,000 euros for the tent, 6,000 for the bleacher seats, 3,000 for the stage and 4,320 euros for four power generators, among others.
The budget also details the price of the events organized in El Charco de San Ginés on the occasion of these same festivities, which only in lighting, sound and assembly would amount to 12,000 euros for six days of different festivals, plus 2,000 for the meeting of senior citizens and another 1,000 euros for the act of the opening speech of the festivities.
