Teguise replenishes the sand on the small beach of Caleta de Famara for the town's festivities

The City Council has also fixed the tip of the pier and the hermitage, and has taken care of repainting the pavement of the sports court

The Teguise City Council has filled the small beach of Caleta de Famara with sand, to get it ready for the town's festivities, which will take place between August 22 and 28.

In addition, in view of the festivity in honor of Our Sacred Heart of Mary, the institution has also taken care of fixing the tip of the pier and the hermitage, as well as repainting the pavement of the sports court.

"The commitment of the Government group, after collecting the neighborhood demands in our usual meetings throughout all the payments, is to clean up each public space and reinforce the cleaning services in these moments in which towns like Caleta de Famara considerably multiply both its residents and the volume of visitors or tourists", affirms the mayor, Oswaldo Betancort.

The mayor has also celebrated the "return to normality" and that the towns have been able to "recover pilgrimages and processions, in addition to organizing with more enthusiasm than ever all kinds of activities for children, youth and seniors, who have hung the poster of full capacity."

"In this sense, the work and involvement of the festival committees of the entire network of towns and socio-cultural centers that continue to provide content so that everyone can fully enjoy their vacations and leisure time are worthy of praise", added Betancort, stating that "all this activity is always accompanied by tasks of conservation and maintenance of public spaces."

Likewise, he assures that a "exhaustive follow-up" is also being carried out on the restoration process of the Modernist House in the town of Caleta. "We are in contact with the architect hired by the Diocese to be able to inform the residents of the progress of this important and awaited heritage rehabilitation", adds councilor Eugenio Robayna.
