The Health Councilor in the Cabildo of Lanzarote, Juan Manuel Sosa, claims to have suffered "a campaign of harassment and demolition" by Coalición Canaria, to see if he would get "bored and exhausted", and generate "that the list would run." In this way, he says "there would be the possibility of a motion of censure" that would make Pedro San Ginés, "recover the presidency."

Sosa, in statements on Buenos Días Lanzarote on Radio Lanzarote - Onda Cero, has responded to the accusations that Coalición Canaria has made about the councilor in relation to his salary and the position he holds in the Cabildo of Lanzarote. "As the president says, there has only been a real campaign of defamation from the first moment here," says the councilor in relation to the appearance of María Dolores Corujo in the plenary session held last Friday. In addition, Sosa maintains that CC's strategy is carried out in a "very malicious" way, adding that they have not had "the detail or the gallantry to apologize for the mistakes."

Juan Manuel Sosa explained the accusations in chronological order, stating that initially from Coalición Canaria they claimed that he had "usurped the spokesperson." However, the councilor maintains that "since December 31, 2019," he communicated to the Autonomous Community the change in his administrative situation, "going from being a spokesperson to being a member of the Government group." Sosa criticizes that when CC realized that he had communicated the situation, and that the formation "had messed up," they were not able to retract. "They did not have the decency, neither they nor the spokespersons who were publishing it in the different media, to say that they had made a mistake," adds the councilor.

On the other hand, Juan Manuel Sosa affirms that CC then began to say "that he could not be charging from the Autonomous Community," when he assures that one of the reports maintains that he can "being a career official." In addition, the councilor adds that he "is not health personnel of the Canarian Health Service," but belongs "to Public Function." "When they clarify that, they also do not have the decency to apologize, but continue to say an erroneous, false and very malicious speech," laments the councilor. "There is a consolidated text from 2015 that grants me that right," clarifies the councilor, and assures that the president's clarifications pushed Coalición Canaria to "withdraw the request for appearance."

The Health Councilor also denounces that some media outlets do not contact him and that "they launch the attack, to say that he charges as a spokesperson," when he emphasizes that it had been communicated to the Ministry that he was no longer one. "If they launch to say it, after saying lies and offending someone, I am not going to be calling to clarify anything," Sosa sentences.

"This harassment that has occurred is proof of the ingratitude on the part of San Ginés"

Juan Manuel Sosa recalls that his salary is public and that it is published in the Ministry of Public Function. "In group A officials, level 30. There are my trienniums, my base salary, destination supplements and others," clarifies the councilor. In addition, he adds that it is specified, by means of a Royal Decree, by which he has the right to be in special services, in addition to the place where he has to provide his services, which he assures is "in the Cabildo of Lanzarote."

Sosa affirms that "this harassment that has occurred is proof of the ingratitude on the part of San Ginés," and recalls that in the past legislature he "played it quite a bit," assuring that he had "a political struggle" so that Pedro San Ginés would remain as president. "He did it precisely thanks to me," maintains the councilor, who adds that at present San Ginés, not being president, does not care "to attack with falsehoods, lies and slander whoever is needed."

Despite the accusations, Juan Manuel Sosa assures that he will continue "working normally," being "very calm and very sure." However, he adds that he "is not going to stand still." "There have been many public statements here both from members of CC and from some of their spokespersons, who have tried to denigrate the name of a person," affirms Sosa.

In relation to the "campaign of slander" that he claims has existed, Juan Manuel Sosa maintains that it will be clarified "through the judicial route," which he maintains will be resolved "sooner or later."
