Nueva Canarias has demanded the resignation of Pedro San Ginés and Echedey Eugenio for the strike at the Tourist Centers that "they themselves provoked" after the new rulings that have sided with the workers. "The arrogance of Echedey Eugenio and the bravado of San Ginés have cost the people of Lanzarote millions of euros in their absurd labor war in the tourist centers," says the island coordinator of NC, Armando Santana, who recalls that everything started with "a new attempt to humiliate the CACT workers".
For Santana, "this time it was based on an erroneous interpretation of the agreement that the leaders of Coalición Canaria themselves had signed years ago." "After months of controversy and turning a deaf ear to the unions and the rest of the political parties, the war was served. We already know the result, millionaire losses, institutional ridicule, and hundreds of lost procedures," he adds.
"Without going into the assessment of the causes, since a court has dictated them, we want to remember that this strike has cost millions of euros in tickets and sales in general, a wear and tear on the image of the centers and our island, and a lot of suffering to the families of those affected," says the island coordinator of NC
"Echedey Eugenio and Pedro San Ginés are a danger to public administrations."
From the nationalist formation they remember that, in those days, "all the political forces" asked "Eugenio to cease in his efforts to persecute and marginalize the workers, since his delusional opinions on labor matters were devoid of sense, one mistake after another". "His suicidal attitude was that of a true irresponsible and has demonstrated that he is a constant threat to the public administrations he governs", points out Armando Santana, who considers that "the current statements of Echedey Eugenio are even more absurd, as if the issue was not with him"
"As I said, a true irresponsible in command of public companies," they sentence from NC, from where they consider that this is "the worst era of the CACT in its history, with multi-million dollar contracts with the ETT, general strikes, millionaire losses due to the closure of centers, an underwater museum that nobody attends giving losses month after month".
