The member of the Local Committee of the PSOE of Haría, Hugo Delgado, was ratified by the Assembly as a candidate for the Mayoralty of the northern municipality. The act of acclamation was held this Wednesday night at the party headquarters, with the presence of fifty members and supporters of the PSOE.
After his name and that of the slate proposed by the local leadership for the May elections were confirmed, the candidate for Mayor thanked those present for the trust placed in him.
In his speech, Hugo Delgado highlighted the enormous potential of a municipality "that has been asleep, but which we must awaken." "Our landscapes, our coast, our rural tourism offer, our gastronomy, our crafts, make up a valuable heritage that we have to value, to increase the quality of life and well-being of our neighbors," he said.
He also referred to the richness of a population made up of elderly and young people, those born in the northern towns and those who have come from all corners of the peninsula and abroad, "attracted by the beauty and tranquility of the municipality." "These last ones live with us in harmony, but they have their own demands and needs, and to meet them we have the colleague Norbert Overdick on our list," he recalled.
