The general secretary of the Canarian Coalition in Lanzarote, David de la Hoz, spoke this Thursday about the attitude of the Nationalist Youth on the island. The JNL sent a statement to the press this Wednesday in which they considered "unfortunate certain appointments" of "people outside the party" for the Government of the Canary Islands and other institutions. In this regard, De la Hoz has regretted having "found out through the media" about their "complaints".

"Young people play their critical, vindictive role... Within the organization, they have considerable or full freedom of opinion," De la Hoz began by saying on Radio Lanzarote-Onda Cero. Thus, although he has not gone on to assess the content of their "demands", he has made it clear that he has "conveyed" to them that he would have liked to know them "at least" "firsthand". "It is healthy, it is what political organizations have, that people have freedom and in this case young people much more to say what they think," he added, however.

In the statement this Wednesday, the Nationalist Youth of Lanzarote considered that with "certain appointments" they were "turning their backs on people from the party and of the party in favor of others who are equally professional but foreign to this nationalist idiosyncrasy." They echoed the appointment of Joaquín Mario Morales Romero as general director of Planning and Budgets of the Ministry of Finance of the regional Executive, of whom they pointed out that "he has been a member of the Canarian Coalition Lanzarote for a very short time." "We want to send a message to our leaders so that they do not forget that the Canarian Coalition Lanzarote is made up of the members, not those who signed up at the last minute to grab a position, it is to them that we owe the fact that we can govern today," they concluded.
