CC has now decided to register a writing in the Cabildo to expel Juan Manuel Sosa from its political group. A decision that comes almost a year and a half after he moved away from CC and became part of the government group as Minister of Health.
Sosa was part of the CC list in the last elections, but belonged to San Borondón, a party that sealed an alliance with the nationalists. However, six months into the legislature, San Borondón decided to break the agreement with CC, instructing its councillor to leave the nationalist group.
After that, Sosa first went to the mixed group but, shortly after, joined the government group, formed by PP and PSOE, as Minister of Health.
That incorporation took place at the end of December 2019 but, until now, CC had not expelled him from its group. And, according to sources close to the matter, the nationalists would have been trying to convince Sosa during this time to return to their political group.
However, for now, the only thing that has been transferred from CC is that a press conference could be held to explain the reasons for Sosa's expulsion.
