Borja Rubio on the turrets: Clavijo and the Coalition fail to comply with the mandate of Lanzarote and the Parliament

The candidate to the Parliament of the Canary Islands for Somos Lanzarote-Nueva Canarias, Borja Rubio, has accused the Government of the Canary Islands, presided over by Fernando Clavijo, of undermining the mandate of the Parliament of the Canary Islands and the decisions taken by the institutions of Lanzarote. Specifically, Rubio alludes to the PNL approved on February 16, 2017 in the Parliament of the Canary Islands that requests the paralysis of the project, and to the non-response to the Yaiza City Council that requested the challenge of the authorization signed by Erasmo García declaring the Red Eléctrica project of public utility.

"The Government of the Canary Islands, managed by Clavijo and Coalición Canaria, has trampled the mandates of the Parliament of the Canary Islands, and of Lanzarote and its institutions. By allowing Red Eléctrica to continue with the installation of the towers in Lanzarote, the Government of Clavijo and Coalición Canaria demonstrates how much Lanzarote matters to them, and continues to increase the shamelessness of the deputies elected by Lanzarote of CC and others, silent in defense of the interests of their parties," says Borja Rubio.

"The Coalition Model: an environmental bulldozer"

Likewise, Borja Rubio states that the implementation of the towers in the south of the island by Coalición Canaria is "the best example of its model, which is that of an environmental bulldozer, as demonstrated by the approval of the Land Law or this aberration against Lanzarote and its distinction as a Biosphere Reserve."

"It is more necessary than ever to propose an alternative to the CC model, and those who play their game even going against their own island," concludes Borja Rubio.
