Arrecife hopes to experience "an intense weekend" with the different activities organized by the City Council. For Friday and Saturday night, there are the races of the Disco Night Urban Race Ciudad de Arrecife 2024, which returns to the capital with more strength than ever to celebrate this special edition.
This Friday at 6:00 p.m. the event will start with the different children's categories, and then there will be a great children's party for attendees in the Parque Islas Canarias. This same Friday the bib numbers will be delivered to adults from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Open Mall Lanzarote Shopping Center.
This Saturday at 9:30 p.m. will be the start of this X edition with the different modalities: 5K companies, 10K and 5K, with a route through the streets of Arrecife that will vibrate full of music with several DJs, lots of color and the animation of the Comparsa Los Cumbacheros. A circuit that will premiere the new pedestrian promenade next to El Reducto beach.
Closing of the first edition of Barrios de Parranda in Argana Baja and La Plazuela
The lively night will be preceded by the Barrios de Parranda, organized by the Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Acts and Events led by Councilor Óscar López.
The Argana Baja neighborhood will host, on Friday night, with the Summer Solstice, the performances of the Tebete and Son del Norte parrandas. The parranderas performances will be between 8:00 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., in the Plaza de la Calle Ico, in this neighborhood of the capital of Lanzarote.
And during Saturday afternoon, La Plazuela will be filled with joy with the closing of this first edition of Barrios Parranderos, an initiative promoted by the Department of Acts and Events to revitalize the city, and promote neighborhood meetings, with the squares as epicenters of neighborhood coexistence. Between 1:30 p.m. and 6:00 p.m., the Lanzarote groups Tebete, Pa'l Porrón and Son del Mar will perform.
At night, the center of Arrecife will become the circuit for the celebration of the Disco Night Urban Race Ciudad de Arrecife.
