The general secretary of the PSOE of the Canary Islands, Ángel Víctor Torres, held a meeting with party members in Lanzarote, before whom he stated: "We are going to leave a better Canary Islands than the one we found in healthcare, education, employment, or dependency." The meeting took place this Friday, October 14, at 2:30 p.m., at the Montaña Blanca Civic Center.
Ángel Víctor Torres detailed the achievements and progress made by the Government of the Canary Islands, which he presides over, "despite the exceptional circumstances we have experienced." He referred to the current economic situation of the islands, which "is one of strength after the recovery of tourism and which is reflected in the improvement in job creation and the reduction of unemployment."
The socialist candidate for the presidency of the Government of the Canary Islands was optimistic about the future, citing as an example the General State Budgets for 2023, which allocate to the Archipelago "the highest amount ever allocated thanks to the Government of Pedro Sánchez, with almost 10,000 million euros."
"Go out into the street to explain to the citizens the progress made"
Ángel Víctor Torres called on the members to mobilize, "go out into the street and explain to the citizens the progress made with the Socialist Party at the head of the Governments of Spain and the Canary Islands, in order to go out to win and improve the results in the elections scheduled for 2023."
"Lanzarote deserves that we win, revalidate the Cabildo with María Dolores Corujo, and govern more city councils to achieve a great political change in the Canary Islands in the next four years. We are going to achieve it, but we have to sweat to achieve it," concluded Ángel Víctor Torres.

Ángel Víctor Torres toured some streets of Arrecife accompanied by María Dolores Corujo and a large group of public and organic officials of the party, distributing explanatory brochures of the achievements of the Government of the Canary Islands in the archipelago and in Lanzarote.
