The Civil Guard has arrested a Chinese citizen for allegedly distributing pirated material, which she sold in a bazaar in Puerto del Carmen. The estimated value of the seized products amounts to more than 2,500 euros, as reported by this police force through a statement.
The arrest was carried out last Wednesday, when agents from the Tías investigation area located a commercial premises that sold allegedly counterfeit products. When the civil guards appeared at the establishment, they found the owner and an employee inside. Thus, they searched the entire premises and seized the allegedly counterfeit products.
Thus, the agents seized a large quantity of perfumes allegedly counterfeited from brands such as Lacoste, Calvin Klein, Chanel, Hugo Boss or Dolce Gabbane, as well as glasses from Armani, Gucci, Okley or Rayban, belts from Diesel or Guess, watches from Tommy Hilfilger or Adidas, wallets from Hugo Boss or Gucci, bags from burberry or caps from Nike.
For these reasons, the Civil Guard arrested the owner, accused of a crime against industrial and intellectual property. After testifying, this woman was released. The proceedings and seized material were handed over to the Arrecife Court of Instruction.
