The Spanish Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has announced this Friday that a shallow isolated depression at low levels (DANA), or cold drop, is going to leave rains on some islands throughout the weekend.
This DANA has been, in part, responsible for the haze episode that the archipelago has suffered in recent days and has also caused some storms in the southwest of the islands.
The Aemet has explained that this DANA has been specifying its trajectory and it is expected that in the early hours of this Saturday it will pass through the islands and end up reintegrating.
Despite not being an episode of significant rainfall, occasional showers may occur on the islands of greater relief. The forecast estimates that there will be rain on six of the eight Canary Islands and that Lanzarote and La Graciosa would be the only islands of the archipelago that would not see rain this weekend. For the rest of the islands, the probability of precipitation during the early morning is greater than two millimeters.
Throughout Saturday morning, it is only expected that it may rain and that the weather be more unstable in the peaks of Teide.
