Arrested for throwing stones against more than a dozen cars in Arrecife

The National Police of Arrecife arrested on Monday afternoon a man accused of throwing several tolucos on thirteen cars that were parked on the public road in the capital of Lanzarote.

According to police sources confirmed to La Voz, the detainee, a 30-year-old male with police record, was intercepted with three more volcanic stones and was arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of damages

The events took place on a central street of the capital of Lanzarote, in broad daylight, around 2:00 p.m. in the afternoon.

A video published on social media, shows how they destroyed the windows of several vehicles that were parked on the street after throwing large stones at them. The National Police has informed this outlet that the stones were not thrown from a balcony, but rather were thrown from the street itself. 

The arrest was carried out thanks to the collaboration of some of the owners of the affected vehicles less than an hour after the facts were reported.
