Toñín Corujo presents his new album "Lanzarote Music" to more than 200 people

More than 200 people enjoyed the presentation of "Lanzarote Music", the new work by Toñín Corujo, on Thursday night at the Tías Municipal Theater, with which he puts sound "to the landscape, history and people of Lanzarote", as the author himself explained during the performance.

Accompanied by Carlos Pérez (saxophone), Máté Szabó (bass), Israel Curbelo (keyboards, piano and cajón), Pedro Mejía (acoustic and electric guitars), Domingo Corujo (classical guitar), Manuel Becerra (drums and percussion, as well as musical producer and arranger of the CD); and with guitarist Diego Barber and double bassist Marco Varelo) as guests, Toñín Corujo offered with his timple themes dedicated to Lanzarote characters such as César Manrique, Jesús Soto or Leandro Perdomo.

"Famara", "Agua", "Malvasía volcánica", "Gofio" or "Mancha Blanca" were the titles of other songs performed, all of which evoke places or elements rooted in the popular culture of Lanzarote. This new work, produced by Tocoyma Records and which delves with ease into the fusion of Canarian music with the jazz avant-garde of the world, Toñín Corujo has had the support of the Government of the Canary Islands.
