The Lanzarote graphic designer Adrián Armas not only won the poster for the [Agüimes Carnival, in Gran Canaria->74739], but has also won the Telde Carnival competition. His work "PopWer", with London as a leitmotif, has led him to achieve the highest score.
11 works by 10 artists were submitted to the competition. The jury in charge of choosing the winning poster was made up of Daniel Martín, Councilor for Culture of the Telde City Council, the journalist Antonio José Fernández, Saro Sosa, president of the El Roque Azucarero neighborhood association, Carmelo Ojeda, director of Teldeactualidad, Gustavo Rodríguez, designer of Carnival costumes, Gustavo Moreno, manager of the El Patio restaurant-bodegón and Mara Vega, technician from the Tourism area. Everyone agreed on "the high level of the works presented".
The work will travel this month to the International Tourism Fair (FITUR) as an image of the upcoming Carnivals.
