The family of the folk group "La Peña", from San Bartolomé, celebrated the "XI Ajei Memorial Festival" last Saturday. The performance included the participation of the "La Pichona" parranda, from the town of Mozaga, which was founded less than a year ago.

"La Pichona" brought to the stage of the San Bartolomé Municipal Theater a varied and complete musical repertoire, mostly from the Latin American songbook, adapted to the parranda. The large audience that, once again, packed the theater applauded throughout the performance.

In addition, the folk group "Alfaguara", which came from Breña Baja, on the island of La Palma, also took the stage. This group stood out for its elegant choreography and its "very well-tuned" voices.

The organizer, that is, the "La Peña" group, had time to show their work to the followers of this music. With hard work and determination, they have managed to overcome many obstacles and during Saturday night they gave their all on stage, giving their best in a very special night, dedicated to the disappeared Ajei folk group.
