Las Pijoletas will open the final of the Arrecife Murgas Contest, which will be held this Friday at the Fairgrounds. After them, Las Inadaptadas, Los Desahuciados, Titi-Roys, Simplones and Tabletuos will arrive. On Wednesday night, it was revealed which murgas qualified for the grand final and the order of performance was drawn.
On this occasion, it took place on the same stage and the public was able to know the result live. In previous years, it had been done in the back of the stage. The followers of the murgas had already complained about this fact, as they could not know the order of departure of the different murga groups until the next day.
In this way, the two female murgas classified for the final will be in charge of breaking the ice on Friday night. Las Pijoletas will open the final and after them the members of Las Inadaptadas will perform. As in last year's edition, two female murgas have made it to the final, with a great improvement in the female murgas participating in the Arrecife Carnival.
The third to perform on Friday night will be Los Desahuciados, a murga that captivated in the third phase with their good performance. Los Titi-Roys, Los Simplones and the Afilarmónica Los Tabletuos, will perform in fourth, fifth and sixth place, respectively.
The final of the XXVI Arrecife Carnival Murgas Contest will start at 21:00 hours on Friday at the Arrecife Fairgrounds. The scores obtained in the previous phases are not taken into account for the final, where all the murgas start from scratch. In addition, the members of the jury will be totally different from those who have been evaluating the interpretations, lyrics and music of the murgas in the three previous phases. All the murgas will premiere new songs in the final, giving everything to win one of the three prizes.
