The Lela cafeteria in Arrecife hosts for two weeks the work of Matías Viera, the canvases of the last year of work, which reflect his personal and artistic evolution, "in these paintings I have changed the materials and this change has allowed me to paint in a different format." An evolution that is not only limited to the materials used.
The painter's creation has also undergone changes, the theme and technique according to the author "is more varied, there is more light, clearer colors, I think these 19 paintings have been an advance in my work." This is the artistic work done in the last year, although Matías Viera has made other works, which are part of the collection that under the name of "Borders" will be presented at the next Art Biennial of the Island Council.
Together with the painter was his family on the day of the opening of the exhibition. His mother and sister, Lolina Curbelo and Nuria Cabrera, both councilors of the City of Arrecife, had the opportunity to see the exhibition that will last until the end of May.
