The Sociedad Democracia of Arrecife hosted on Monday with great success a concert by the Giovanni Bardi Chamber Choir on Madrigals and Pop Music, which is part of the San Ginés festivities. Thus, and with the presence of the first deputy mayor of the capital's City Council, José Montelongo, and the Councilor for Culture, Eva de Anta, among the public, a brilliant recital dedicated to profane vocal music in the Italian Renaissance of the 15th and 16th centuries and international pop music took place.
In this sense, the concert attendees were able to enjoy the music of great Italian composers such as Vecchi, Banchieri, Orlando Di Lassus or Arcadett, as well as the pop of Coldplay, Christina Aguilera, Michael Jackson or Elton John, among others.
The Giovanni Bardi Chamber Choir also celebrated its XIII anniversary this Monday since it was founded in Arrecife, in August 1998. It should be noted that since its beginnings, the members of this choir have tried to offer a new conception of choral singing, increasingly away from the traditional static choir scheme.
