The works of the Playa Honda Sports Center will begin in approximately 15 days. This has been announced by the San Bartolomé City Council, which has assured that the project, which has already been awarded, has a term of 7 months from the signing of the verification act of the staking.
The works will be financed with 300,000 euros charged to funds from the 2014 budget and another 300,000 euros will be paid by the Cabildo, charged to the 2014 Island Investment Plan. The rest will be financed with the municipal accounts of the next year.
The contract has been awarded to the company Iniciativas para la Construcción y Obra Civil S.L. (INCOC, S.L.), which has submitted the most economically advantageous offer for the City Council. The initial execution budget by contract amounted to 1,330,527.27 euros and the work has been awarded for a total of 959,576.27 euros, according to the City Council.
The City Council has already proceeded to notify the successful bidder, which from the date of receipt has a period of 8 business days to appear at the municipal offices and sign the contract. This notification has also been transferred to the rest of the bidders who have participated in this open procedure.
"Modern facilities"
The building that will house the facilities of the Playa Honda Sports Center affects a block between Timón, Botalón, Chalana, and Cuaderna streets, taking advantage of the foundation and excavation previously carried out. And the neighbors have been enduring a large hole in the area for years, since in 2011 a municipal pool began to be built, but months later the works were stopped and it was finally decided not to continue with this project.
The City Council has explained what this project will be like, whose works will begin shortly. Thus, attached to the main sports building, there will be an isolated building for access control to the facilities. The main accesses from the public road will occur from two corners of the block, the main access from Timón street corner Botalón and the secondary access from Botalón street corner Chalana.
As a result of the intervention in the reference plot, two isolated one-story buildings above ground will be obtained. In the outdoor spaces, a multi-purpose sports court with bleachers, two paddle courts, two ball courts, two spaces for children's games, a skate park, large open spaces and gardens will be built. On the roof of the building and in a specific installation room below ground, reserve areas will be left for facilities and provision for the implementation of photovoltaic panels. Access to the buildings will be from inside the plot depending on the use and needs of each space, according to the graphic documentation.
Two buildings
The work will have two buildings. In the first building called sports, the bulk of the functional plan will be formalized, multipurpose room 1, multipurpose room 2, male changing room, female changing room, PMR toilet, cleaning room, facilities, distributors and warehouse. It is intended exclusively to house the indoor sports facilities, the toilet and changing areas, as well as complementary rooms necessary for the operation of the building.
The second building is the one called control, with the reception and a bar-cafeteria. It will be located in an area close to the main access, from where all the facilities of the plot will be easily controlled.
