A 36-meter-high Ferris wheel, the "El Ratón Vacilón" roller coaster, the "Mr Bean 4" House of Laughter, or the classics of the style of the house of terror, adapted to the new times (Halloween 3D). Very few attractions resisted this Tuesday for the more than 200 seniors from Arrecife who enjoyed a snack with chocolate and churros, and the latest generation devices of the fair installed in the Fairgrounds of the capital.
Invited by the national association of fairground operators Promoferia, and accompanied at all times by the head of this company, José María de la Cova, as well as the workers of the Senior Citizens area of the Arrecife City Council, as well as those of the fair itself, many of our seniors had no qualms about becoming children again and trying most of the attractions.
The rest, the less daring, stayed in the tent installed by the Arrecife City Council in the Fairgrounds chatting amicably, savoring chocolate with churros and spending a different and fun afternoon.
The mayor of Arrecife, Cándido Reguera, thanked the businessmen for having decided to bring this Amusement Park designed for fun and entertainment to the capital of the Island.
In addition, the capital's first mayor acknowledged the detail of the fairground operators inviting the elderly to a snack, as well as the attractions, and encouraged them to return to the municipality next year. "Everything that generates activity is good for Arrecife, and this Amusement Park has been positive, because it has brought activity and dynamism to the municipality," he added.
Also the first deputy mayor, José Montelongo, and the councilor for Social Services, Carmen Sáez, were very satisfied with the development of this "pleasant day for our elders." Along with these municipal officials, other councilors from the government group toured the facilities and tried some of the attractions of the Fair with the elderly.

Promoferia, which gave a souvenir to the elderly of their passage through the fair, will remain in the Arrecife Fairgrounds until January 29. Many families on the Island with their little ones and also many young people have not wanted to miss the latest generation attractions of this Fair, which has even registered queues on specific days.
